Flores Coffee in Canada
ROOT 86 realizes that Canadian coffee roasters have many challenges finding the quality and value they need to build their roasting business. Many times, the quality is not available here in Canada and shipping/importing costs are high for smaller orders. Often, searching for coffees takes more time than a roaster has to spend. We have warehouses in Vancouver and Montréal to service all customers across Canada.
ROOT 86 works collaboratively with roasters to find exactly the coffees they are looking for and import large enough volumes to reduce the costs. We roast together, cup together and discover together. We're always on the look for great new coffees as the global harvest seasons come around.
This industry is so exciting today with new processing methods, better farming techniques and great new roaster aficionados taking coffee to new levels. We look forward to partnering with you to source your green coffee supply.

About ROOT 86
Started together with Kimber & myself, John Nishiyama. I am the son of a farmer and was born and raised on the West Coast of Canada.
I’ve been in the coffee farming and green business for over 28 years. I was in Costa Rica developing large scale agricultural projects and one of the jewels of my work was a 65 hectare (160 acre) coffee farm in the now famous West Valley town of Llano Bonito. Today the farm is producing award winning coffee that showcase in the Cup of Excellence.
I’ve cupped and roasted coffee Internationally, connecting with farmers, COOPs, exporters and importing companies. I love the world of coffee and working with new roasters getting started in the business and experienced ones allowing our partnerships to grow.
